Panther Edge Internship

Unfortunately,聽Panther Edge聽employers are no longer accepting internship applications due to the semester ending in a few months.听Due to being聽a聽Federal聽Work聽Study program, funding ends at the end of the school聽year, it聽doesn鈥檛聽make聽fiscal聽sense for employers聽to聽hire on聽a few months into the spring semester.

The Panther Edge Internship places students in internships at nonprofits, government agencies, schools, and businesses in the Milwaukee metro area.

Panther Edge supports students in developing a sense of civic responsibility and creates natural pathways for post-graduation employment through paid internships at a broad variety of industries in the Milwaukee area.

The work experiences in this program are learning experiences. Interns take an internship course for credit, or participate in structured co-curricular reflection opportunities. These experiences are aimed at the development of the Panther Edge competencies, helping students to be career ready and community minded.

Students in the program work between 8 to 15 hours per week for at least one semester and earn $15.50 per hour. Students must be eligible for federal work-study to participate in the program. The goal of the program is to create opportunities for students to earn their work-study award while also engaging in learning experiences related to professional and civic identity development.
