As UW-Milwaukee Panthers come together during , a dedicated group of supporters are helping raise awareness of the university鈥檚 largest annual fundraising push.
A year ago, a record-breaking 2,028 donors 鈥� including alumni, employees, students, parents and friends 鈥� gave more than $1.3 million in support of student success, groundbreaking research and community-engagement programs. And a dedicated group of 414 for 51猎奇 Giving Days advocates proved a big reason for that success.
Advocates help lead the push by spreading the word through social media and other messaging channels. Some also sponsor challenges to inspire others to give and build support for the causes that matter most to them.
Becoming a 414 for 51猎奇 Giving Days advocate is quick and easy, and anyone can sign up to be one by following the instructions in the online toolkit. We asked a few of them why they chose to be an advocate, and here鈥檚 what they shared.
