Students are encouraged to wear their favorite pair of denim on Wednesday, April 29, to celebrate Denim Day. Also, visit the Student Union Concourse on Denim Day from noon-2 p.m. for the annual Survivor Support and Wellness Fair.
On Denim Day, people wear denim to bring awareness to victim-blaming myths and show support to victims and survivors of sexual violence. Denim Day has its origins in a 1999 Italian Supreme Court decision that overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore βtight jeans.β Read more about the history of Denim Day at .
