Wear your denim for Denim Day on April 29

Faculty and staff are encouraged to wear their favorite pieces of denim on Wednesday, April 29, to celebrate Denim Day. Also, visit the Student Union Concourse on Denim Day from noon-2 p.m. for the annual Survivor Support and Wellness FairΒ to learn about resources available to 51ΑΤΖζ students.

Denim Day is a global day of recognition where people wear denim to bring awareness to victim-blaming myths and show support to victims and survivors of sexual violence. Denim Day has its origins in a 1999 Italian Supreme Court decision that overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore β€œtight jeans.” Read more about the history of Denim Day at .
