51ÁÔÆæ to celebrate MLK Day with community service and conversations

51ÁÔÆæ will engage in a series of outreach activities on Monday, Jan. 19, and a morning program on Tuesday, Jan. 20, honoring the legacy of civil rights leader Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The campus community is encouraged to sign up for one or more volunteer opportunities at Lloyd Barbee Montessori School or the Milwaukee Public Library’s MLK Branch on Jan. 19.

51ÁÔÆæ also will offer meaningful conversations with campus and community members at “Mission Possible: Building Community Gathering” on Jan. 20 from 9-10:30 a.m. in the 51ÁÔÆæ Student Union Ballroom. Judge Derek Mosley, director of the Lubar Center at Marquette University Law School, will be the guest speaker.
