Register for fall virtual book series by Sept. 5

This fall, 51’s Division of Community Empowerment and Institutional Inclusivity (CEII) invites all faculty and staff to the next installment of our book series: “The Power of Bridging: How to Build a World Where We All Belong.”

Written by civil rights scholar john a. powell, this book promotes a “bridging” mindset and offers a practical guide for building connections across differences.

The fall book discussions include four virtual Wednesday morning sessions, 11 a.m.-noon: Sept. 17, Oct. 1, Oct. 15, and Oct. 29.

The discussions will be co-facilitated by Elizabeth Drame, professor of teaching and learning and special assistant to the Vice Chancellor of CEII, and Sarah MacDonald, CEII training and dispute resolution specialist.

A limited number of copies of the book are available from the Division of CEII; the book can also be purchased online.
