Rob Yeo, chair of the Film, Video, Animation & New Genres department, cited the work of accomplished faculty and staff, along with the strength of the graduate program, the energy of the students and the , as core reasons for the latest designation.
Peck School of the Arts Dean Scott Emmons called the recognition an honor for the Film Department.
“I’ve been privileged to see the work of our faculty, staff, students and alumni in festivals and professional studios, and can tell you this honor is well earned,” Emmons said. “Our film program does a great job of preparing students for careers in Milwaukee, Hollywood or wherever their creative talents take them.”
The film program was also ranked No. 24 in The Hollywood Reporter’s of top American film schools.
