A new partnership with the Milwaukee Diaper Mission will help the 51ΑΤΖζ Food Pantry provide help to the 1,300 students at the university who are parents.
The effort fills a need for students struggling to make ends meet while attending school.
βWe were overwhelmed with how many students were requesting diapers,β said Rachel Kubczak, director of the universityβs Student Parent Success Program.
Since opening in September 2020, the Milwaukee Diaper Mission has distributed more than 563,000 disposable diapers and 178,000 period products.
βWe think it is really important to support parents who are attending college,β said Meagan Johnson, executive director and co-founder of the organization.
