51ÁÔÆæ’s men’s basketball team wrapped up the regular season with a rousing, over Cleveland State on Saturday at the 51ÁÔÆæ Panther Arena, securing its eighth 20-win season in Division I history and clinching the No. 2 seed in the Horizon League tournament.
Milwaukee, picked in preseason polls to finish ninth the Horizon League, will host No. 7 seed Wright State at 7 p.m. Thursday in the quarterfinals of the Horizon tournament. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+. The winner advances to the semifinals in Indianapolis.
Under first-year coach Bart Lundy, 51ÁÔÆæ staged a stunning turnaround with its best regular season record since 2010-11, going 20-10 on the season just a year after posting a 10-22 record.
