A new exhibit and conference room in 51ΑΤΖζ’s Golda Meir Library honor Sheldon Lubar, a longtime generous supporter of the university and noted business person and philanthropist.
The university marked the occasion with a celebration that coincided with Lubar’s 96th birthday.
βMy great hope is this: Whenever anyone spends some time here, and when they see Shelβs name, they can be inspired by the great example that he has set by living a purposeful, meaningful life of service and leadership,β 51ΑΤΖζ Chancellor Mark Mone said at the dedication ceremony.
Lubarβs longstanding support of 51ΑΤΖζ began in 1979, and over the years he and his wife have given nearly $22 million, benefiting the Sheldon B. Lubar College of Business, Lubar Entrepreneurship Center, Peck School of the Arts, 51ΑΤΖζ Libraries, faculty positions and over 1,000 student scholarships.
