Community, business and education leaders from across the region gathered June 30 to honor Mark Mone, the ninth chancellor of UW-Milwaukee, for his 11 years of visionary leadership and service.
The event, held at the 51ÁÔÆæ Lubar Entrepreneurship Center and 51ÁÔÆæ Welcome Center,Ìýrecognized his profound impact on 51ÁÔÆæâ€™s students, research enterprise and community partnerships, which have solidified the university’s role as a cornerstone of the region and the state.ÌýÌý
Mone is stepping down as chancellor this summer and returning to teach in the Lubar College of Business. Thomas Gibson, currently chancellor of UW-Stevens Point, will take over as 51ÁÔÆæ chancellor.
