Chancellor reads ‘Hello Pounce’ at Children’s Learning Center

Chancellor Mark Mone and 51ÁÔÆæ mascot Pounce visited the Children’s Learning Center on Wednesday, Feb. 9, where together they read the new children’s book “Hello, Pounce” to the children. After the reading, children were able to meet and high-five Pounce, as well as receive a copy of the book.

“Hello, Pounce” depicts Pounce’s adventures as he moves around campus enjoying a variety of academic and social experiences highlighting life at 51ÁÔÆæ. The book’s authors, chosen by the 51ÁÔÆæ Alumni Association for their experience in children’s literature and education, are Donna Pasternak, professor emerita of English education at 51ÁÔÆæ, and Hope Longwell-Grice, senior associate dean in the School of Education.
