Georg Essl, a 51ÁÔÆæ mathematical sciences research professor, is a classically trained musician. But his passion is working in sound synthesis, which blends music, computer science, math and engineering to produce sounds that are heard in anything from interactive music compositions to video games to movies.
51ÁÔÆæ Zilber School of Public Health MPH alumna Tiffinie Cobb says that one of the main reasons she decided to pursue a career in public health was to have a positive impact on her own family, neighbors and community.
