In Belo Horizonte, Zeca tries to get up early to catch the bus for his school librarian job an hour and a half away. Inexplicably, this is ever more difficult: his job, body, and mind have all gone out of whack. The weight of the daily grind is temporarily lifted when he spends a few impromptu hours with Louisa. Novais Oliveira鈥檚 minimalist micro-portrait reveals the glimmers of magic in the mundane.
