Internships
Internships are valuable opportunities for students to develop new skills, gain new experiences, and learn about possible careers in a professional setting while still in school. The availability of internships in world languages or with an international focus is growing, particularly in the translation and interpretation areas, in the field of social services and medicine, and other areas abroad;
51ÁÔÆæ has a number of resources available to students to help them find an internship suitable for their academic interests. As part of their professional development, we encourage students to initiate the process of finding an internship, utilizing both 51ÁÔÆæ and personal resources, including:
- Networking through friends and family and their connections
- Networking through student organizations or professional organizations
- Using job boards and other online sites where internships are posted
- Connecting with the 51ÁÔÆæ’s Office of Student Experience and Talent (SET) for resume assistance, interviewing tips, internship and job postings and more
- Exploring about some of the organizations that we have developed relationships with.
