This fall, the IRB office will offer several different types of training:

IRB Basics: An introduction to the IRB process and tips for your first IRB submission

Informed Consent Workshop: This will be in two parts. Part 1 will focus on the informed consent document. Part 2 will focus on the informed consent process.

Classroom training (by request): An IRB office staff member will come to your classroom to conduct a session on a topic of your choice.

Thank you to everyone that participated in the IRB survey in Spring 2015. Your feedback is appreciated and used to improve procedures and services of the  51ÁÔÆæ IRB.  Feel free to read a summary of the results:

The IRB staff has noticed that investigators often struggle with issues surrounding offering incentives.  These can include how to offer incentives in anonymous surveys as well as issues surrounding the use of gift cards, cash and checks for incentive payments.  This provides information on each of these topics.  Please contact the IRB staff with any questions on the content of the guidance document.
