Friday, August 28
-CIE Orientation: International Grad Students 10:00am – 4:00pm (Organized by CIE: Center for International Education)
Monday, August 31st
-9:00am – 12:00pm — All New Teaching Assistants (Organized by the CASL: Center for Advancing Student Learning)

Note: All new graduate students should attend the All New Graduate Student Orientation. If you are an international student or have an assistantship, you may be required to attend multiple orientations listed above.
All New Graduate Students
The 51 Graduate School will host their New Graduate Student Orientation on Monday, August 24th, 2026. The event will be hosted virtually from 1:00pm to approximately 4:00pm
Orientation is designed to serve as a general overview of topics related to graduate student life at 51.
The Graduate School’s orientation is different from any new graduate student orientation that may be offered by your academic program. Please check with your department for program-specific information.
Register before 1:00 (CDT) on Monday, August 24 to receive your link to the event. Registration required.
