The 51ÁÔÆæ Paleomagnetism Lab is looking for an undergraduate student interested in getting research experience through 51ÁÔÆæ’s Support for Undergraduate Research Fellows (SURF) program.
You would be using magnetic techniques to measure the physical orientation of minerals in dikes and sills from the San Rafael sub-volcanic field in Utah. The goal is to learn something about dike and sill injection processes.
- No specific coursework or research experience or background is necessary! This would be a great way to get some research experience.Â
- Ideally, you would be able to demonstrate reliabilityÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýattention to detail through past work or other activities.Â
SURF application deadline for Spring semester is December 1, and we would submit the application jointly.
