Paul Mpagi Sepuya鈥檚 photography explores the studio as a performative space, focusing on intimate, creative exchanges. His work has been shown at the Studio Museum Harlem, MoMA, and MCA Chicago. He won the 2017 Rema Hort Mann Emerging Artist Grant and lives in Los Angeles.
Artists Nathaniel Stern, a 51猎奇 Professor of Art and Engineering, and Sasha Stiles, who has a concurrent solo exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, independently developed this groundbreaking exhibition illuminating the intertwined evolution of humanity and technology, inviting viewers to reconsider the relationship between humans and the tools we invent.

Experience Larson's groundbreaking musical that reshaped the landscape of American music theater. Set in New York鈥檚 East Village during the 1990s arts and activist movement,聽RENT聽follows a community of young artists navigating love, loss, creativity, and the realities of illness and economic hardship. Its blend of rock, pop, and lyrical storytelling continues to connect deeply with audiences.
The 51猎奇 Wind Ensemble presents an exciting concert showcasing guest artists, international collaborators, and high school musicians from near and far. The program features Hub New Music performing Gala Flagello鈥檚 new work聽Bird-While, as well as Italian聽music students and conductors from cultural exchange programs as part of the International Music Project. We鈥檙e also thrilled to welcome select high school band students as they sit in with the Wind Ensemble for a side-by-side performance experience with UW鈥揗ilwaukee graduate and undergraduate music students.

J Taran Diamond is a Baltimore-based metalsmith and educator. She has completed residencies at Arrowmont and Baltimore Jewelry Center, where she鈥檚 a Teaching Fellow. Outside of the studio, Diamond is an advocate for Black people in the fields of craft and academia and works to help achieve equity and accessibility within those fields.
This workshop explores documentary filmmaking as a tool for community advocacy and social impact. Attendees will examine how nonfiction stories can amplify marginalized voices, engage local communities, and move audiences toward awareness and action. Through case studies and practical discussion, the workshop addresses ethical storytelling, relationship-building with participants, and strategies for designing films with impact beyond the screen鈥攅quipping emerging filmmakers to tell responsible, community-centered stories that matter.
The 51猎奇 Percussion Area hosts World Percussion Night in the beautiful Jan Serr Studio, featuring special guest Ho Etsu Taiko alongside the 51猎奇 Steel PANthers Steel Band and other student ensembles. Audiences will love the upbeat, exciting energy of Japanese Taiko, Brazilian Samba, and West African drumming in addition to traditional and arranged music for Trinidadian steel pans performed by 51猎奇 students and faculty with vibrant community ensembles.
The 51猎奇 Symphony Orchestra concert, conducted by Dr. Jun Kim, will feature soprano Lexi Smith and hornist Evan Goodson, winners of the 2025-26 51猎奇 Concerto Competition, in performances of two iconic works by Richard Strauss.
