Full of wit, absurdity and sly social commentary, H.M.S. Pinafore is a hilarious tale of love, honor and duty aboard a Royal Navy ship whimsically named after a woman鈥檚 garment. Written by master social satirists W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan鈥攐ne of musical theatre鈥檚 most iconic duos鈥攖his classic 19th-century comic opera gets a fresh, imaginative adaptation and staging by Milwaukee Opera Theatre鈥檚 Artistic Director Jill Anna Ponasik and 51猎奇 Department of Theatre's Jeffrey Mosser. Presented in cooperation with Milwaukee Opera Theatre, this lively production promises sharp humor, infectious music and a delightful twist on tradition.
Interdisciplinary artist, curator, and educator Jeff Zimpel composes site-specific installations, inviting creative participation from those who encounter his Living Studio. Zimpel taught art and design at the secondary level and now engages college students throughout the Midwest. Currently, he works with Arts @ Large as Artist in Residence Curator, and just completed his second book, Feed the Muse (September 2025).

With over 1.8 million followers, she鈥檚 praised by educators and parents for inspiring kids to explore science, history, and the environment.

Dani and Sheilah Restack have embarked on an artistic relationship that is formally and emotionally adjacent to their domestic lives, a quotidian zone they share with their young daughter Rose. Both artists have established careers on their own. Sarah Ballard is a filmmaker and educator who鈥檚 practice fuses personal narratives with historical research to address broader structural inequalities based on gender and class. Ballard teaches at 51猎奇 and is a recipient of the 2025 Mary L. Nohl Fund Fellowships for Individual Artists.

Adebukola Bodunrin is a Nigerian-Canadian film, & video artist who explores language, culture, and media. In her collage animations, she manipulates film using unorthodox manual and digital techniques to produce unexpected cinematic experiences. Bodunrin鈥檚 animation work has been featured on the television series Transparent, and in KCET鈥檚 鈥淟ost LA鈥� series, for which she also won an LA Area Emmy award for segment direction.
Ceci Tejeda鈥檚 family roots are from Michoac谩n, Mexico, which is why she has Purepecha blood in her veins. Ever since she was a young girl, she鈥檚 admired her culture. She creates Alebrijes made of 鈥渃artoneria,鈥� a unique and traditional papier-m芒ch茅 technique from Mexico City. Tejeda also creates large-sized pieces that support various social justice movements and activism using the same method.
