My parents taught me that it was not just a privilege but also a responsibility. Voter apathy and disillusionment with the political system are at an all-time high and many people feel like their vote doesn\u2019t matter or that the system is rigged against them (which is certainly the truth in some cases) but we should be fighting to make the system more inclusive and more accessible.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Reproductive rights are an essential aspect of healthcare and autonomy for people of all races, gender, and class. It includes such a wide range of resources such as access to contraception, safe and legal abortions, and comprehensive sexual education. It is evident, now more than ever, that our reproductive rights are under attack, and must be protected and fought for. I believe that access to reproductive healthcare is a FUNDAMENTAL right to every single person in the world, and yet there are those who seek to take away those rights. By exercising our right to vote, we can elect leaders who will fight for reproductive healthcare and protect our rights. We must also hold our elected officials accountable and make our voices heard. They must advocate for reproductive healthcare. Our democracy depends on our participation, so register to vote, educate yourself on the issues and the candidates, and show up at the polls.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">April 4<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">th<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> is the General election for Supreme Court, school board officials, and county\/town\/village\/city offices. This is a non-partisan election, meaning the candidates run as individuals and not on a party ticket. This election is crucial and will determine the direction of Wisconsin for the next 10 years.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Need to find your polling place: <\/span><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/myvote.wi.gov\/en-us\/Find-My-Polling-Place\"><b><span data-contrast=\"none\">https:\/\/myvote.wi.gov\/en-us\/Find-My-Polling-Place<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As someone who has been lucky enough to grow up in a household where voting was considered a civic and sacred duty, I have always been passionate about exercising my right to vote.
