On We Go!\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>As the days get longer,\u00a0my\u00a0time at 51ÁÔÆæ gets shorter. The realization slowly kicks in that\u00a0I\u2019ll\u00a0be leaving a campus\u00a0that&#8217;s\u00a0been home for the past three years. Leaving friendships that\u00a0I\u2019ve\u00a0built, connections that I\u00a0formed,\u00a0and maybe a few projects left\u00a0unfinished.\u00a0There\u00a0are\u00a0some feelings of uncertainty and fear of the unknown.\u00a0What job am I going to have once\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0done and how quickly am I going to get that job? Am I going to go to\u00a0grad\u00a0school, if\u00a0so,\u00a0where? How is that school going to be different from 51ÁÔÆæ?\u00a0Where am I going to live? Will I\u00a0even\u00a0stay in\u00a0Wisconsin?\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0a lot of unknowns when I like living in a \u201cI need to know\u201d world.\u00a0But sometimes,\u00a0that&#8217;s\u00a0where the best adventures lie.\u00a0\u00a0From my favorite poet, Bilbo Baggins:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Still round the corner there may wait<br>A new road or a secret gate, <br>and though I\u00a0often\u00a0have passed them by,\u00a0<br>A Day\u00a0will come at last when I\u00a0<br>Shall take the hidden paths that run\u00a0<br>West of the Moon, East of the Sun\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s&nbsp;talking about the unknown paths and walkways we might not be accustomed to, or the adventure&nbsp;that\u2019s&nbsp;waiting to happen.&nbsp;The uncertainty of things and how, even though it might be scary, lies the best tales and fun you might have. Three years ago, I left home to go on this adventure&nbsp;to get&nbsp;my&nbsp;bachelor&#8217;s degree. Fear of failure was running through my mind and&nbsp;veins&nbsp;and the fear of the unknown.&nbsp;It&#8217;s&nbsp;time to&nbsp;go on that adventure&nbsp;again,&nbsp;my friend.&nbsp;The road is scary, sometimes unforgiving, but&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;about the fun and things we will learn along the way.&nbsp;It\u2019s&nbsp;time to go on another&nbsp;adventure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are facing the same feeling,&nbsp;it\u2019s&nbsp;ok. Sometimes life takes us on a different path than we originally thought, and&nbsp;uncertain&nbsp;feelings&nbsp;can be hard to navigate.&nbsp;Take a moment and&nbsp;think about&nbsp;what you&nbsp;are&nbsp;possibly&nbsp;afraid&nbsp;of, worried&nbsp;about,&nbsp;or just general concerns.&nbsp;For me,&nbsp;I&nbsp;will write&nbsp;down&nbsp;what is&nbsp;causing&nbsp;stress, like moving to a new state or selecting a school, this helps&nbsp;to&nbsp;clear my mind a&nbsp;bit,&nbsp;and I can start&nbsp;answering&nbsp;some concerns I have AND it starts to make me feel a bit better about&nbsp;the&nbsp;choices&nbsp;I\u2019ve&nbsp;made or need&nbsp;to make.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reminder, this journey of life is meant to be fun, so please:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be kind to yourself. You are on your OWN path\u00a0of life, no one\u00a0else.\u00a0Don\u2019t\u00a0compare.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take\u00a0those mindful breaks.\u00a0You achieve nothing with burnout.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get\u00a0your sleep. Sleep allows your brain to\u00a0reset\u00a0and clean itself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ask for\u00a0help.\u00a0There\u00a0is nothing\u00a0wrong\u00a0in reaching out for a helping hand\u00a0when you need it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drink your water.\u00a0Take care of your\u00a0body;\u00a0you only get one.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Also,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/sTJ7AzBIJoI?si=8ASbq4cc_lVL7neX\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wear sunscreen<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Mitch (She\/They)&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peer Health Educator&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As the days get longer,\u00a0my\u00a0time at 51ÁÔÆæ gets shorter.
