{"id":1265,"date":"2023-11-29T16:18:47","date_gmt":"2023-11-29T22:18:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/?page_id=1265"},"modified":"2026-03-26T12:04:47","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T17:04:47","slug":"eligibility-costs","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/eligibility-costs\/","title":{"rendered":"Eligibility &amp; Costs"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>See below for what enrollment status is required to use services at the Student Health and Wellness Center (SHAW).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion uwm-p-accordion--icon-left-circle\" data-accordion-prefix-classes=\"uwm\" data-accordion-cool-selectors=\"1\"><button class=\"uwm-p-accordion--toggle-button size-p-md\">Expand All<\/button>\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Medical Services<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Any student enrolled in-person or online at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee AND paying mandatory segregated fees have access to the Student Health and Wellness Center Medical Services. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Counseling Services<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enrolled students who pay mandatory segregated fees also have access to the Student Health and Wellness Center counseling services. All students enrolled in-person or online at the University of Wisconsin &#8211; Milwaukee have access to <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/counseling\/mantra-health\/\">Mantra Health<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/wellness\/counseling\/uw-mental-health-support-24-7\/\">UW Mental Health Support 24\/7 Call or Text Line<\/a>. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">BASICS<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Current UW-Milwaukee students are eligible to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For students mandated\/required to participate (for example, by the University or a court\/judge) or who require proof of program completion, a non-refundable program fee will be placed on the student\u2019s PAWS account.&nbsp;BASICS I is $65.00 and&nbsp;BASICS II is $130.00. An exception is made for students who are assigned BASICS by 51ÁÔÆæ through the Medical Assistance policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is&nbsp;<strong>no fee<\/strong>&nbsp;for 51ÁÔÆæ students who participate voluntarily (not mandated).
