Any attempt to vote more than once in any given election is classified as election fraud per&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.legis.wisconsin.gov\/statutes\/statutes\/12\/13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Wis. Stat. sec. 12.13 (1)<\/a>&nbsp;and is punishable as a Class I felony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-i-ll-be-out-of-the-state-country-on-election-day-can-i-still-vote\"><strong>I\u2019ll be out of the state\/country on Election Day. Can I still vote in my local election?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You may only vote once, so you will need to decide if you want to vote in Milwaukee or in your hometown. This can include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A current, valid Wisconsin driver\u2019s license or Wisconsin identification card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Any other official identification card or license issued by a Wisconsin governmental body or unit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your 51ÁÔÆæ ID card with a Proof of Enrollment letter which can be printed from the \u201c51ÁÔÆæ\u201d section of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">your PAWS account<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>An identification card issued by an employer in the normal course of business, which has a photograph of the cardholder, but not a business card.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A real estate tax bill or receipt for the current year or the year preceding the date of the election.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A current residential lease.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A utility bill for the period commencing not earlier than 90 days before the election. A printed copy of an online bill is acceptable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A bank statement. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. If you live outside the City of Milwaukee, you can contact your municipal clerk for more information about voter registration. The purpose of presenting your ID at the polls is to prove your identity.
