Preview My Ballot<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Preview which candidates and measures will be on your ballot by visiting MyVote Wisconsin \u2013 Preview My Ballot<\/a>. Sample ballots are typically available no later than 47 days prior to a federal election and 21 days before an election without any federal contests.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Research the Candidates and Measures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Make an informed choice on the candidates, initiatives, and referendum on your ballot by doing research. You can typically find voter guides in regional newspapers or published by issue-specific organizations. BallotReady<\/a> is a non-partisan national resource for candidate backgrounds and ballot measure explanations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Wisconsin, you are allowed to bring notes or look at your phone at the voting booth as long as you are not being disruptive.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

Write-In Candidates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Wisconsin, these are the following scenarios in which a write-in candidate will be counted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • if no candidate has been certified to appear on the ballot<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • if a certified candidate dies or withdraws before the election<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • if a candidate has registered to be a write-in<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
