Are you registered to vote? In Wisconsin, you can register to vote online<\/a> once you have lived at your current address for at least 28 days. Make sure to update your voter registration every time you move so you\u2019re always ready for the next election!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

What Each Election Is For<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

General Election<\/strong>: Held on even-numbered years, on the Tuesday after the 1st Monday in November, to elect U.S. senators and representatives, presidential electors (when applicable), state legislators, district attorneys, state officers other than Superintendent and judicial officers, and county officers other than supervisors and county executives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Primary<\/strong>: Nonpartisan primary held on the 3rd Tuesday in February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Election<\/strong>: Held on the 1st Tuesday in April. Used to elect judicial, educational and municipal officers; nonpartisan county officers and sewerage commissioners; and to express preferences for presidential candidates in presidential-elector years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partisan Primary<\/strong>: Held on even-numbered years (2nd Tuesday in August) to nominate candidates for partisan offices to be voted on at the general election.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
