You may assume they will be similar in the upcoming year, but should be aware that they might change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-funding-and-awards-available-through-urban-studies\">Funding and Awards Available through Urban Studies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list uwm-c-list--link-arrow\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/urban-studies\/students\/graduate\/financial-support\/urban-studies-graduate-awards\/\"><strong>Urban Studies Graduate Awards<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/urban-studies\/students\/graduate\/financial-support\/teaching-and-project-assistantships\/\"><strong>Teaching &amp; Project Assistantships<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/urban-studies\/students\/graduate\/financial-support\/graduate-fellowships\/\"><strong>Graduate School Fellowships<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dissertation Research Grant Award<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Award includes up to $2000 to support costs related to dissertation research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Currently available only to doctoral students who have defended their dissertation proposals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funded by alumni donations.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a0TBD, usually at the end of February.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travel Funding<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maximum of $500 awarded in support of graduate student travel to conference to present research.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recipients write short reports included in the annual Urban Studies newsletter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funded by Henry W.
