Once your student registers for orientation, you\u2019ll gain access to the Orientation Hub in the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/family\/\">Panther Family Portal<\/a>. Here, you\u2019ll find information and resources shared at orientation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Families are a crucial source of support for college students. When you attend family orientation in support of your 51ÁÔÆæ student, you will learn important information about the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee to support your student in their transition to college.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At Family Orientation, you can expect to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Attend a program for families only, while your student attends their own program where they will meet peers, explore the campus and enroll in courses.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn about important University resources designed to support you and your student. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Familiarize yourself with the 51ÁÔÆæ campus, where your student will spend much of their time learning for years to come.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get answers to your questions about 51ÁÔÆæ and how to support your student in their transition to college.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion uwm-p-accordion--icon-left-circle\" data-accordion-prefix-classes=\"uwm\" data-accordion-cool-selectors=\"1\"><button class=\"uwm-p-accordion--toggle-button size-p-md\">Expand All<\/button>\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Orientation program guest policy<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Up to two adult guests (parent, guardian, spouse or other support person) are welcome at in-person orientation programs. Guests attend a separate program designed for student supporters. See the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/family\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Orientation Hub<\/a> for more details.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--header\">Registering for orientation<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel\"><div class=\"uwm-p-accordion--panel-inner uwm-u-clear\">\n<p>Your student will include you in their orientation registration form.
