Another email with more details will be sent closer to the program.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><div class=\"uwm-c-list--content-wrap\"><h2>Ensure you\u2019ve completed your admitted student next steps<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access your PAWS account<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set-up multi-factor authentication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access your 51ÁÔÆæ email<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit your University Housing contract or exemption form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete course placement (excluding students participating in the First Year Bridge program)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submit your ID photo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete your University Terms and Conditions Agreement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Send in your high school transcripts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--wrap uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/undergrad-admission\/admitted-students\/new-freshmen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Admitted First-Year Student Next Steps<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><div class=\"uwm-c-list--content-wrap\"><h2>Attend your orientation program<\/h2>\n<p>At your orientation program, you will visit campus to take care of your to-do list and enroll in courses. You can expect to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Experience life as a 51ÁÔÆæ Panther, led by an orientation leader.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete course placement if you&#8217;ve been unable to do this in advance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learn how to use PAWS to enroll in courses during future semesters until graduation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Address logistical questions and concerns so you can feel confident in your decision to attend 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Know how to log into and utilize campus technology, specifically Office 365 and Canvas, allowing you to complete required trainings, participate in courses and communicate with 51ÁÔÆæ staff and support systems.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand how to access resources to support your individual, holistic success as a 51ÁÔÆæ student.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And so much more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Program dates are listed in your Admission Portal. Students and guests can expect to be on campus for the full day from 8 a.m. &#8211; 5:00 p.m. Students and guests will attend separate sessions throughout the day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If desired, overnight accommodations can be made through <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/housing\/conferences-events\/guest-housing\/\">51ÁÔÆæ Guest Housing<\/a> or at any of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitmilwaukee.org\/about-milwaukee\/college-town\/uwm\/\">Milwaukee\u2019s local hotels<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Orientation Requirement Hold will be removed from your PAWS account and the New Student Fee will be applied in PAWS after attending this program.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><div class=\"uwm-c-list--content-wrap\"><h2>Complete Panther Transition Training modules<\/h2>\n<p>After completing orientation, you&#8217;ll see Panther Transition Training appear in your PAWS To-Do List. Panther Transition Training modules are found within the Orientation and Transition Canvas course. Please allow up to 2 business days for your Panther Transition Training to do list item to be marked complete in PAWS.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><div class=\"uwm-c-list--content-wrap\"><h2>Attend your Panther Transition Experience<\/h2>\n<p>Before the first day of classes, you\u2019ll round out your orientation and transition process by participating in a full-day program called Panther Transition Experience on either August 26, 28, or 31. You\u2019ll participate in small group workshops, visit and learn about campus resources, and experience 51ÁÔÆæ traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On September 1, you will meet with your school or college during the academic welcome and celebrate the start of your college journey at the class photo tradition!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More details about&nbsp;your&nbsp;Panther Transition Experience&nbsp;date&nbsp;and the class photo will be shared via email closer to the start of the semester!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"content_block\" id=\"custom_post_widget-7267\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-notice uwm-p-notice--info\"><i class=\"fa-solid fa-circle-info fa-fw\"><\/i><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--content\"><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--title\">New Student Fee<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-notice--message\">All students are charged a nonrefundable $250 fee upon completion of orientation which covers the cost of orientation materials, the student&#8217;s PantherCard, and operating costs of Orientation and Panther Transition Experience programs.\u00a0The $250 fee will be posted to students&#8217; PAWS account upon completion of orientation and is due on the first day of the semester, even if the student does not ultimately enroll in courses.
