Permits are sold on a first-come, first serve basis. Check our <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/transportation\/resources\/regulations\/\">parking regulations <\/a>for more information about your rights and responsibilities as a permit holder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All parking permits require that you have your vehicle&#8217;s license plate listed. We use license plate recognition (LPR) cameras to verify you have a permit. In addition, you may be required to have an additional credential to use your permit:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cambridge Commons Garage<\/strong>: You will be provided with a hangtag to open the gate during the move-in. It must be displayed on your car to prove you have a permit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kenilworth, Lubar, NWQ, Pavilion, and RiverView Garages<\/strong>: You must have a PantherCard to open the gate on entering and exiting the garage. These garages also have license plate recognition cameras that read your plate to open the gate, but they are not 100% and a PantherCard is always required as a backup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For any permit, it is the permit holder&#8217;s responsibility to update the vehicle on file.
