Join the Union Art Gallery for Bound Less, an exhibition showcasing 51ÁÔÆæ’s own alumna Ellee Spalding. Ellee\u2019s abstract paintings and ceramic works investigate the balance between structure and randomness, drawing attention to the overwhelming number of parallels between their interplay and the rhythms of life. Her process involves utilizing new and existing systems that invite collaboration with chance, challenging her sense of control in the creative process through limits, constraints and mapping of randomness. She spends much of her time at her studio in Bay View, Milwaukee. She holds her BFA with a dual focus of Painting\/Drawing and Ceramics, along with a BA in Psychology from 51ÁÔÆæ. Spalding is a former intern at the loved, Real Tinsel on Milwaukee\u2019s south side. She has a foundation in community engagement, most notably through her artist residency at EastCastle Place in Milwaukee where she continues to return for occasional workshops.
