This change ensures that all events are entered in one location, while still allowing for filtering and publication on individual program sites. Additionally, we invite all 51ÁÔÆæ departments, units, and resources to contribute to our divisional newsletter with updates, announcements, and event details.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-l-col uwm-l-col--4 uwm-l-offset--1\"><div class=\"uwm-block-otp-nav \"><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-bg-gray uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-calendar-events\">Calendar Events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To further our goals of providing students with a university experience that allows them to connect, prepare, and thrive, improvements are being made to the Student Affairs online events calendars. Instead of events being managed in various locations on uwm.edu subdomains, Student Affairs has moved to a central calendar. Departments will have a single location and standard for entering events, while the events can still be filtered and published on individual program\u2019s sites. Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/forms\/form-reg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Roar Access Form<\/a> to request a ROAR account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/25live.collegenet.com\/pro\/uwm\/#!\/home\/availability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ROAR Login<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-p-card--color-head uwm-u-mb-40\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\">Ticketing<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">\n<p>Events that have a cost associated with them generally use the campus ticketing system, VBO Tickets, to securely handle the financial side of the event. VBO Tickets is the main campus vendor for non-Athletics events. Contact your department&#8217;s VBO Tickets representative to set up ticketing\/costs in VBO Tickets:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"uwm-c-list--contact uwm-c-list--cleanlist\">\n<li><i class=\"fa-solid fa-envelope fa-fw\"><\/i><a href=\"mailto:reservat@uwm.edu\">reservat@uwm.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"uwm-c-list--contact uwm-c-list--cleanlist\">\n<li><i class=\"fa-solid fa-envelope fa-fw\"><\/i><a href=\"mailto:sa-eventcal@uwm.edu\">sa-eventcal@uwm.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-publishing\">Publishing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All published events are public and include day-of-event details. Private, internal or administrative deadlines should be communicated and managed within each department via a Teams meeting or some other format.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card-grid uwm-l-grid uwm-l-grid--equal-y uwm-l-grid--2\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-p-card--color-head uwm-u-mb-40 uwm-p-card--shadow\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\">Publishing Events<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">\n<p>Only submit events that are owned by your department, even if the event takes place in your venue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Event submissions can take up to 3 business days for review before publication. The exception to this are events that require more editing before publication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/studentaffairs\/events\/community\/add\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Event Submission Form<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-p-card--color-head uwm-u-mb-40\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\">Edit or Cancel an Event<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">\n<p>If there is a reason an event needs to be cancelled or edited, use the form below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Try to cancel within 48 hours of creating your event to keep it from being scraped by bots or saved to people&#8217;s calendars\u2014just keep in mind that it can take up to three business days for the edit\/cancellation to fully process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/studentaffairs\/staff-resources\/edit-cancel-event\/\" rel=\"\">Request Event Edit or Cancellation<\/a>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-reporting\">Reporting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card-grid uwm-l-grid uwm-l-grid--equal-y uwm-l-grid--2\">\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-p-card--color-head uwm-u-mb-40\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\">Tracking Attendance<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">\n<p>There are various ways to track attendance at events to be used for reporting after the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Regular Events<\/strong> &#8211; Utilize the divisional application called Swiper to either swipe Student ID Cards or enter the Student ID Number in manually<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cost\/Ticketed Events<\/strong> &#8211; VBO tickets allows you to scan the ticket to the event as patrons enter the event<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3rd Party Software Events<\/strong> &#8211; Software used by some departments, like Student Involvement, allows for the scanning of the student ID as patrons enter the event<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can reach out to the Technology Integration and Engagement Services (TIES) staff for questions about tracking data at:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"uwm-c-list--contact uwm-c-list--cleanlist\">\n<li><i class=\"fa-solid fa-envelope fa-fw\"><\/i><a href=\"mailto:sa-eventcal@uwm.edu\">sa-eventcal@uwm.edu<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-p-card uwm-p-card--color-head uwm-u-mb-40\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--title\">Reporting<\/div><div class=\"uwm-p-card--body\"><div class=\"uwm-p-card--content\">\n<p>Once the event has passed and you have tracked event attendance, the information has been stored and can be exported from the various systems in order to report on attendance.
