51ÁÔÆæ Identity Centers Design Feedback<\/h1><\/header>\n\n\n

51ÁÔÆæ is reimagining how we support our students by creating a new, student-focused center that will unify several existing services and spaces into one inclusive hub. This center will serve as a place where students can access support, build meaningful connections, and develop\u202fa stronger sense of belonging.\u202f <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • The new center will unite the missions, comprehensive student\u2011care approach, and staff expertise of several existing 51ÁÔÆæ centers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • All current staff from these centers will be retained as part of this reorganization.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The center will be part of the Division of Student Affairs and will collaborate closely with the Dean of Students, University Housing, Student Health and Wellness, and Student Involvement to address students\u2019 holistic needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The location of the new center will be on the ground floor of the Student Union, within the current CASE and Off Campus Resource Center office areas and potentially adjacent spaces. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The planning for this transition will begin in Spring 2026 and is expected to be completed in time for the start of the Fall 2026 semester. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    • First-Generation+ Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • LGBTQ+ Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Military and Veterans Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Off-Campus Resource Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Roberto Hern\u00e1ndez Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Southeast Asian American Student Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Women\u2019s Resource Center<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n

      Background<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      The purpose of these questions is to gather input from students, faculty, and staff on: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • Providing a space for students to express their thoughts about the decision; <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Identifying key support services to be sustained, refined, or developed;  <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Identifying possible names for the new center;   <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Identifying ideas and\/or new opportunities for the center; and <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Identifying ideas for designing space. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        Your feedback will help us honor the collective history of our identity centers and shape strategic priorities that foster greater student success. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n
