Have you ever wanted to learn to crochet the famous Granny Square that can be combined into scarves, blankets, clothing, and other fun and useful objects? Even if you’ve

never held a crochet hook in your hand, you can learn to make these squares in no time! I’ll help you choose yarn, learn the stitches and pattern, and plan your project. Fiber

arts like crochet and knitting are great tools to manage stress and anxiety and an even greater way to meet people while engaging in a fun communal activity.

Intermediate Screenprinting

Welcome to SACC’s intermediate screenprinting workshop! In this class, participants will learn how to effectively make a 2-layer design for screen printing. Then they will coat

a screen, burn it, and print the design. This workshop is great for those who love printmaking, design, drawing, photography, and/or textiles. It is preferred that students

have taken “Beginner Screen Printing” with SACC before registering for this workshop.

Enameled Pendants

In this workshop, you will learn how to create your very own enameled pendant. Design your silhouette, cut it out with a jeweler’s saw, and learn how to melt powdered glass in a

kiln to create a colorful one-of-a-kind wearable piece of jewelry. This is great for beginners as you will explore techniques of metalsmithing that will allow you to make future

metals projects!

Intro to 3D Modeling for Jewelry

In this workshop you will be introduced to the process of designing and 3D modeling jewelry in the CAD program, Rhinoceros.

You will learn basic functions and modeling commands commonly used for making essential forms like

rings and pendants, including various approaches to making patterns. Participants will need to bring a laptop with the

program downloaded and up to date to class. Device Specifications: 64-bit Intel or AMD processor (not ARM), at least 8 GB of RAM,

and 5 GB of free disk space. If you have questions about a specific device, or need help downloading the program, please reach out to us prior to the first day!

Learn to knit: Create a Knitted Scarf

Join SACC to knit a warm scarf! A fun and colorful way to learn to knit. This little scarf will feel great around your

neck on cold Wisconsin mornings. We’ll learn basic knitting stitches and how to read a basic pattern.

Never held a pair of knitting needles? Don’t worry! We’ll start from the beginning, and you’ll leave with solid knitting skills you can use to make more complex projects!
