Trip Dates: Depart March 13 at 3pm and return to campus March 14 at 5pm
The Student Health and Wellness Center and Outdoor Pursuits have paired up to provide a unique overnight cabin stay in combination with a 4 hour silent retreat. Professionals from the Student Health and Wellness are trained to facilitate silent meditations from the Mindfulness Institute for Emerging Adults (MIEA). The meditations include a walking meditation, food meditation, stretching meditation, and more. Outdoor Pursuits will help provide meals and hikes. We will spend the night in a historical farmhouse in Whitnall Park surrounded by woods and trails.

Registration closes March 6th! This trip will have a mandatory pre-trip meeting with all participants and trip leaders the week of the trip at Outdoor Pursuits. For more information or to request accommodations, please email hmurphy@uwm.edu. Trip full? Complete this form to be added to the .

Itinerary
Friday: Meet at Outdoor Pursuits at 3pm, drive 30mins to farmhouse in Whitnall Park, make dinner
Saturday: Breakfast, 4hr silent meditation broken into chunks of time with break for lunch, hike local trails, drive back to 51ÁÔÆæ

    • Details: Let’s take a break! As busy college students, experiencing stress is common. In this workshop, we will discuss the stressors in our lives, reflect on the tools and strategies we currently use to cope and take care of ourselves, and explore new ways to proactively manage stress.

    • Details: Difficulty sleeping? Daytime sleepiness? Sleep is essential to physical, emotional and cognitive health, but regularly getting enough good sleep can be tough for students. In this workshop, you’ll learn about sleep ‘hygiene,’ complete a brief survey to assess your current sleep behaviors, identify your sleep goals, and create a plan for things you can start doing to get better quality sleep.
  • Paj Ntaub Circle
