Bound Less features 51�� alumna Ellee Spalding. Ellee’s abstract paintings and ceramic works investigate the balance between structure and randomness, drawing attention to the overwhelming number of parallels between their interplay and the rhythms of life. Ellee spends much of her time at her studio in Bay View, Milwaukee, and holds her BFA with a dual focus of Painting/Drawing and Ceramics, along with a BA in Psychology from 51��.

Join us at the Union Art Gallery for the following programs during Ellee’s exhibition:

Opening Reception, Thursday, September 4th, 4-7pm

Drawing Workshop with the Featured Artist, Thursday, September 18th, 5-7pm

Films by Stan Brackhage (Union Cinema) with Post-Film Reception in the Gallery, Saturday, September 27th, 5pm

UREC Climb Night

Adventure Rock and 51��’s Outdoor Pursuits invite you to a FREE night of indoor rock climbing (bouldering and top roping)! Whether it’s your 1st time rock climbing or your 10th time, UREC Climb Night is the perfect way to learn more about rock climbing, have fun, and meet other 51�� students, faculty, and staff!

Harnesses will be provided – all you need is your 51�� ID, CLOSED TOE SHOES, comfortable clothing, and a water bottle. Transportation will NOT be provided for this event BUT you can access Adventure Rock via the Prowl Line (FREE for all students, faculty, and staff) to Cambridge Commons or Riverview Residence Hall and walk 0.3miles (0.5km) to Adventure Rock located at 2220 N. Commerce St.

How long can I stay? Once you are checked in and go through the video orientation, you can stay until Adventure Rock closes.

Have you wanted to try stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking? Join our free paddle party at Atwater Park (4000 N Lake Dr), where all equipment and instruction are provided. Sign up with friends! Please note, transportation is NOT included.��Registration closes 2 days before the trip.��Please arrive on time for your scheduled time slot. Equipment availability is first come-first served.

Rise ‘n Shine Yoga

We have certified instructors to lead basic stretches to help you get your mind and body right before classes begin. No equipment required, but if you have a favorite yoga mat please bring it along! Happily ever after starts with an outdoor screening of Shrek 2! Join us in the 51�� courtyard Sunday, August 31st, for a night of laughter filled with nostalgia (and snacks). This film follows the events after Shrek and �󾱴ǲԲ�’s honeymoon. The newlyweds travel to meet �󾱴ǲԲ�’s royal parents, who seem to be all but pleased with their new son-in-law. Maybe life really is better in the swamp.
