Did you know that the Milwaukee area is one of the surfing capitals of the Midwest? Lake Michigan is great to learn how to surf and provides a practice ground for bigger water. This surfing class is geared toward first time surfers who have never been on a board before! We will provide wet suits, personal flotation devices (PFD), surf boards, instruction, booties (if needed), and gloves (if needed). You will learn the beginner skills of how to “pop up,� stand up, and control a surfboard.

Outdoor Pursuits has brand new sea kayaks equipped to paddle on Lake Michigan! Join us as we launch from 51ÁÔÆæ's School of Freshwater Science public boat landing on the Kinnickinnic River and paddle out on to Lake Michigan. We'll have epic views of the city's skyline and lighthouse. No previous paddling experience is required. All transportation, equipment, and instruction will be provided.
