SUMMARY:Overnight Caving Adventure
DESCRIPTION:Trip Dates: Depart on Saturday April 18 at 8am and return to campus Sunday April 19th at 5pm.\nHave you ever wanted to spend the night in a cave?! Did you even know it was possible?! We are headed to Eagle Cave\, the largest commercial cave in Wisconsin. There\, we will have the opportunity to explore their vast system of caves with helmets\, headlamps\, and clothes you don’t mind getting muddy. At night\, we’ll sleep with sleeping pads and sleeping bags in the cave’s wide entrance\, a truly unique experience – no tents! This trip includes all transportation\, meals\, equipment for caving and camping\, and instruction. Registration closes Feb 17th! This trip will have a mandatory pre-trip meeting with all participants and trip leaders the week of the trip at Outdoor Pursuits. \nThere is an option to place a $75 deposit at checkout – the remainder of the balance must be paid in person before registration closes. \nItinerary\nSaturday: Drive 2.5 hours to Eagle Cave\, explore the cave and spend the night inside! Lunch and dinner are provided.\nSunday: Explore the cave and property more\, drive back to 51ÁÔÆæ. SUMMARY:Bike & Camp the Glacial Drumlin Trail
DESCRIPTION:There’s something adventurous about biking to a state park! Join Outdoor Pursuits as we bike from campus\, along the Oak Leaf Trail\, Hank Aaron Trail\, and then the Glacial Drumlin Trail\, all the way to Lapham Peak State Park – home of the Ice Age Trail! This bike ride is 36 miles one way (61km) and requires you to know how to ride a bike. Don’t worry! We plan to make stops every 10 miles. The best part of this ride is that you don’t have to carry your camping equipment! Biking back to campus on Sunday is optional and transportation is available. We’ll drive it to the state park for you so it’s there when you arrive. All transportation\, bikes\, camping equipment\, meals\, tent lodging\, and instruction is provided. \nSaturday: Bike (36mi) from 51ÁÔÆæ to Lapham Peak State Park\, eat lunch and dinner\, and tent camp\nSunday: Explore the state park\, eat breakfast\, option to bike (36mi) back to 51ÁÔÆæ\, stop for lunch \nRegistration closes April 24!
