TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) <\/strong>at UW-Milwaukee is a federally funded program that helps first-generation, low-income and disabled students succeed with academic coaching, career guidance and financial aid support. Through this support, we ensure equal access to opportunities through tutoring referrals, leadership programs, free laptop loans, a study lounge, and grant aid, providing the resources needed to graduate and build a successful future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are supported by the U.S. Department of Education TRIO Grant to serve 250 participant students each year with $379,116 in annual grant funding between 2025-2030. Our five-year TRIO SSS grant award total is $1.895 million<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We offer academic tutoring in subjects like reading, writing, math, science, study skills, and more to help you succeed in your classes. You\u2019ll also get personalized guidance when choosing college courses and exploring your options after high school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll help you understand the full range of financial aid opportunities available\u2014including grants, scholarships, and benefits\u2014and support you in completing your applications. Our team also provides resources to boost your financial literacy and can assist with applying to graduate or professional programs. If you\u2019re starting at a two-year college, we\u2019ll help you plan your transfer to a four-year school and apply for financial aid there too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
