If you use the same resume for every position to which you\u2019re applying, you risk not distinguishing yourself among your job-seeking peers. Help the employer recognize your interest and how your experiences match their needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Make sure your resume is organized, and as concise as possible without eliminating important information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tailor your resume to specific job descriptions to give the potential employer what he\/she needs. Employers want to look at resumes from people who really want the job.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading heading-separator\">Writing CVs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"lead-in\">In the United States, a curriculum vitae is most often used when applying for academic, education, scientific, or research positions, as well as for graduate and fellowship programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\" id=\"a0\">CV v.s. Resume<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Resume<\/strong>: Provides a summary of your education, work history, skills, and other accomplishments (typically 1-2 pages)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Curriculum Vitae (CV):<\/strong>&nbsp;Demonstrates your professional and academic achievements.
