Your password is the same everywhere you use your ePantherID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most common way for you to receive communications is through your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/login.microsoftonline.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">51ÁÔÆæ Email Address<\/a>. Your Academic Advisor, instructors, and departments such as Financial Aid will expect you to use your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/login.microsoftonline.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">51ÁÔÆæ Email Address<\/a>&nbsp;and to check it often.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have trouble logging in to your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/login.microsoftonline.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">51ÁÔÆæ Email Address<\/a>&nbsp;or if you can\u2019t access a computer on campus, call the Help Desk at (414) 229-4040 or toll free at (877) 381-3459.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don\u2019t know your Campus ID number, use the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.bplogix.net\/form.aspx?pid=0d7c854a-f1ef-4afa-9901-e8f47a1d1429&amp;formid=f8da2b10-6aef-40a4-95ec-a34f34b77123&amp;nohome=0&amp;completepageprompt=0&amp;completepage=&amp;completetext=\">Campus ID Finder<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading heading-separator\" id=\"h-your-contact-information\">Your Contact Information<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Anytime an item or a document needs to be sent to you from campus, (diplomas or financial aid refund checks, for example), it is sent to your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PAWS\u00a0<\/a>Mailing Address. It\u2019s important to keep this address current, especially if you\u2019re an International, Online or Distance student.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To edit your&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PAWS&nbsp;<\/a>Mailing Address, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Log in to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">PAWS<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Under the yellow&nbsp;<em>Personal Information<\/em>&nbsp;header, click in the drop down menu and select&nbsp;<strong>Addresses<\/strong>, then click the&nbsp;<strong>yellow arrow<\/strong>&nbsp;button<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can edit the current&nbsp;<em>Mailing Address<\/em>, or you can&nbsp;<strong>ADD A NEW ADDRESS<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For a new address, fill in the new information and select an effective date<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can categorize multiple addresses as&nbsp;<em>Mailing<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Home<\/em>,&nbsp;<em>Business&nbsp;<\/em>and&nbsp;<em>Billing<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you live in a campus residence, your&nbsp;<em>Campus&nbsp;<\/em>address will appear automatically and you won\u2019t be able to edit it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to your physical address, you can update phone numbers, non-51ÁÔÆæ email addresses, and emergency contacts. Just log in to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PAWS<\/a>&nbsp;and select one of the drop down options under the yellow&nbsp;<em>Personal Information<\/em>&nbsp;header.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-bg-gray uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading heading-separator\" id=\"h-changing-your-name\">Changing Your Name<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you change your name while you are a student or after you\u2019ve graduated, you can complete a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/671\/2025\/05\/Student-Record-Data-Change-Form-Fillable.pdf\">Student Record Data Change Form<\/a>&nbsp;in person at the Registrar\u2019s Office in Mellencamp 274, by fax to 414-229-6940, by mail, or via email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to a completed Student Record Data Change Form, specific documentation is required to request a name change. Just bring the new Social Security card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may also access the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/671\/2025\/05\/Student-Record-Data-Change-Form-Fillable.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Record Data Change Form<\/a>&nbsp;online and email the completed form to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:Regoff@uwm.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Regoff@uwm.edu<\/a>&nbsp;or submit it via fax to 414-229-6940. This form also can be used to alter or remove an existing preferred name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Requests are typically processed within 1-3 business days, at which time the preferred name will appear in the systems identified above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any questions about the processing of a preferred name request can be directed to the Registrar\u2019s Office via our online contact form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-preferred-name-faq\">Preferred Name FAQ<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"schema-faq wp-block-yoast-faq-block\"><div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1745428266971\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\"><strong>Do I need to enter a preferred name?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">No. Preferred name is a service for those who wish to be known by a name other than their legal name. If you regularly use your legal name, there is no need to indicate a preferred name. Requests for preferred names that match your legal name will not be processed.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1745428280646\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\"><strong>Can I make my preferred name whatever I want?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Preferred names are limited to alphabetical characters, a space or hyphen (-). Your preferred name will appear as it\u2019s entered on the request form.<br \/><br \/>You are not allowed to enter a preferred name for purposes of misrepresentation or fraud. Such attempts may also violate the UWS Student Nonacademic Misconduct Chapter 17.09.09, 17.09.10, and\/or 17.09.11.<br \/><br \/>The Registrar\u2019s Office will review all preferred name requests and consult other campus offices as needed and appropriate.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1745428290282\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\"><strong>Can I submit a preferred name request as soon as I am admitted as a student to 51ÁÔÆæ?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">You can include your preferred name on your application, or you can submit a preferred name request once you are admitted.<\/p> <\/div> <div class=\"schema-faq-section\" id=\"faq-question-1745428301404\"><strong class=\"schema-faq-question\"><strong>Is preferred name available for staff or instructors?<\/strong><\/strong> <p class=\"schema-faq-answer\">Yes.
