Zilber College of Public Health is engaged with statewide academic and community partners in workforce development activities. This partnership, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wicphet.org\/Home\">Wisconsin Center for Public Health Education and Training (WiCPHET) Academic Programs Council<\/a>, includes five academic institutions, two professional associations, and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health, as listed below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Medical College of Wisconsin, Master of Public Health Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, Department of Health Education and Health Promotion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University of Wisconsin-Madison, Master of Public Health Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Joseph J. Zilber College of Public Health<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carroll University, Undergraduate Public Health Program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wisconsin Public Health Association (WPHA)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wisconsin Association of Local Health Departments and Boards (WALHDAB)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wisconsin Department of Health Services Division of Public Health, Office of Policy and Practice Alignment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>UW-Madison is the convening partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wicphet.org\/Home\">WiCPHET website<\/a>&nbsp;has modules on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wicphet.org\/node\/88\">health equity<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wicphet.org\/node\/89\">population health<\/a>. The social justice modules in the Health Equity tab were initially developed in 2008 as a course by Drs. Alice Yan and Renee Walker from the Zilber School with funding from WiCPHET and updated with their input.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sph.umich.edu\/mphtc\/index.html\">Region V Public Health Training Center (PHTC)<\/a>&nbsp;housed at the University of Michigan School of Public Health is another resource for professional development available to the broader school community. With funding from the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the University of Michigan coordinates the Region V Great Lakes Public Health Training Collaborative and works with the national Public Health Learning Network. Areas of expertise for this region include: behavioral health, rural health, tribal health, and health equity. Among the Region V community-based training partners is the University of Wisconsin Madison Population Health Institute through their Health Equity Practice Initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sph.umich.edu\/mphtc\/index.html\">See the Region V Michigan PHTC website<\/a>&nbsp;for the Training Gateway link, which lists a number of continuing education modules on a range of topics.
