Our advisors will ensure that your courses will transfer into our curriculum and also see how they fit into the sequencing of your classes. Math competency (placement score of 30+ or Math 105, Math 108 or Math 102 with \u201cC\u201d or higher).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preparatory coursework based on placement test scores.&nbsp; English competency (placement test or English 102 with \u201cC\u201d or higher).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Must have at least a \u201cC-\u201d in each Major Public Health course<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"tab-transfer-repeat-policy\" class=\"uwm-p-tabcontent--pane\">\n<p>Students who earn a D+ or lower in any public health major course required for graduation (54 credits) must repeat the course and earn at least a C-. Courses required for the BS in Public Health degree may be repeated only&nbsp;<strong>once<\/strong>. Students who twice earn a grade lower than these requirements will be dismissed from the public health major.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"tab-transfer-advising-credits\" class=\"uwm-p-tabcontent--pane\">\n<p>Submit an official transcript to the Registrar\u2019s Office from each university you have attended. Once your credits are evaluated, they will appear on your 51ÁÔÆæ transcript in\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/paws\/\">PAWS<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you make an appointment to meet with the transfer advisor, you will need to submit unofficial transcripts from<strong>&nbsp;all&nbsp;<\/strong>institutions attended for unofficial evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Utilize the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.uwm.edu\/registrar\/tools\/ted%22%20%5Ct%20%22_blank\">Transfer Equivalency Database (TED)<\/a>&nbsp;to see transfer equivalencies that have been set up for specific schools. For specific questions regarding the transferability of courses not listed on these sites, contact the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/uwm.edu\/registrar\/contact-us\/%22%20%5Ct%20%22_blank\">Registrar\u2019s Office<\/a>&nbsp;using their online form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Meet with your academic advisor to understand how your transfer credits will be utilized within the required curriculum of your program. Your advisor may in turn consult with the appropriate faculty to determine the use of transfer credits within your track of study.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Students looking to transfer or change their major will first meet with one of our advisors.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your transfer credit is posted to PAWS, schedule an academic advising appointment to learn what courses in which you will need to enroll.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div id=\"tab-transfer-faq\" class=\"uwm-p-tabcontent--pane\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-do-i-meet-with-my-academic-advisor\">How do I meet with my academic advisor?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Email <a href=\"mailto:zcph-info@uwm.edu\">zcph-info@uwm.edu <\/a>or your assigned advisor listed on PAWS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-do-i-need-to-take-a-foreign-language\"><strong>Do I need to take a foreign language?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have successfully completed two years of the same foreign language in high school, then you have completed the 51ÁÔÆæ\/CON foreign language requirement. If you did not complete these two years or if English is your second language, see your advisor to discuss options for completing the 51ÁÔÆæ foreign language requirement.
