SUMMARY:Zilber College of Public Health Seminar - How Culture and Local Ecosystems Can Affect Dietary Exposures to Environmental Contaminants
DESCRIPTION:Presented by  \nMatthew Dellinger\, PhD\nAssociate Professor\, Division of Epidemiology\nMedical College of Wisconsin \nDr. Dellinger is Associate Professor in the Institute for Health & Humanity at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Since 2004\, he has conducted environmental and biomedical science collaborations with the Great Lakes Native American tribes. \nDr. Dellinger will discuss his past and ongoing work on reducing exposures to environmental contaminants in foods. He will discuss the cultural and health importance of subsistence foods\, such as wild fish\, game\, and wild rice\, in the Great Lakes along with some promising new directions for environmental health research on this topic. \nThe seminar can also be attended virtually on Teams. \nIn honor of Public Health Week\, enjoy donuts and extra bagels courtesy of the Public Health Student Association!
