A 24\/7 crisis hotline can be the first line of defense in preventing these tragedies and an essential part of any continuum of care for mental health crises. Staffed by employees and carefully trained volunteers, the Milwaukee Women\u2019s Center\u2019s 24-Hour Crisis Line is housed at our Emergency Shelter and provides crisis counseling \/ intervention, information, and referrals to more than 10,000 callers each year.
