However, you\u2019re also welcome to contact the Planning for the Future Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--wrap uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/uwm.bplogix.net\/form.aspx?pid=0d7c854a-f1ef-4afa-9901-e8f47a1d1429&amp;formid=38791c0b-985f-4d38-8161-ff16b0a865da&amp;nohome=0&amp;Offering=Planning%20for%20the%20Future\" rel=\"\">Planning for the Future Application<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>You will be notified if you are being added to a waiting list.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"uwm-bg-gray uwm-u-py-80\"><div class=\"uwm-l-container--base uwm-l-container--overflow-hidden\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading heading-separator\" id=\"h-faq\">FAQ<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-the-cost-of-the-program-is-there-a-payment-plan-are-any-scholarships-available-nbsp\"><strong>What is the cost of the program? Is there a payment plan? Are any scholarships available?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The cost of the program is $875.00.\u00a0DPI\u00a0Precollege Scholarships are available for students who are eligible for free or reduced lunch.\u00a0The DPI Precollege Scholarship is included in the Academic Year\u00a0application. Students may receive a maximum of three DPI Precollege Scholarships per year.\u00a0If a student\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0qualify for free\/reduced lunch, payment plans are available upon request. Parents\/Guardians can work with program staff to\u00a0come up with\u00a0a down payment\u00a0and payment dates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-happens-during-the-academic-year-nbsp-nbsp\"><strong>What happens during the Academic Year?&nbsp;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tutoring:&nbsp;<\/strong>Tutoring&nbsp;is currently offered&nbsp;at two schools.&nbsp;Tutoring takes place at Hartford University School during school hours and Hmong American Peace Academy (HAPA) after school. Tutors go to the school they are assigned to and meet with students along with a school staff member in the classroom typically once or twice a week for up to 2 hours.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Field Trips:&nbsp;<\/strong>Field trips will expose students to colleges,&nbsp;careers&nbsp;and cultural experiences. Trips will take place on Saturdays and days&nbsp;schools&nbsp;are not in session. Students would be dropped off and picked up at 51ÁÔÆæ. Location address will be on the permission slip. Field trip calendar and permission slips will be part of the registration materials in the fall and emailed to parents for the spring session.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Workshops:<\/strong>&nbsp;Workshops will cover college preparation, academic skill building, critical thinking, communication, problem solving, time management, study skills, empathy,&nbsp;resilience&nbsp;and social-emotional skills. Workshops allow students to navigate complex situations&nbsp;and&nbsp;make informed decisions. Workshops typically take place on Saturdays on the 51ÁÔÆæ campus.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-is-transportation-available\"><strong>Is transportation available?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Transportation is not provided&nbsp;by Planning for the Future.&nbsp;We are able to give students bus tickets to ride the city bus with&nbsp;the permission of the parent\/guardian.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-happens-if-my-child-misses-a-day-nbsp\"><strong>What happens if my child misses a day?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We understand absences happen; however, we ask that you notify the program staff of any unforeseen or planned absences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-how-do-i-nbsp-register-nbsp-my-nbsp-student-nbsp\"><strong>How do I&nbsp;register&nbsp;my&nbsp;student?&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Complete the online application and scholarship form.
