The application process is through the 51ÁÔÆæ Graduate School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants who want to be considered for teaching assistantships or fellowships should have their materials to the department by December 15th. Decisions about funding will be made in early Spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Department of Political Science asks applicants to submit the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Complete Graduate Application Form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Three letters of recommendation from persons who can authoritatively comment on your academic abilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Transcripts from all graduate and\/or undergraduate institutions attended.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statement of your research interests and how 51ÁÔÆæ\u2019s Political Science Department will help you meet your career and educational goals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Writing sample.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Submission of GRE scores (official or unofficial) is encouraged, but not required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>English-language proficiency scores if native language is not English and baccalaureate degree was received from institution where English is sole language of instruction.
