When to Declare<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ideally, you should declare the major as soon as possible, in order to take advantage of departmental advising in planning the best sequence of upper-level courses. There are no prerequisites you need before declaring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\" id=\"a1\">2. Submit the Declaration of Certificate Form<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To begin the process, fill out and submit the declaration form at the button below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"uwm-u-flex uwm-u-flex--wrap uwm-u-flex--left\">\n<a class=\"uwm-c-button uwm-c-button--black uwm-u-mr-20 uwm-u-mb-20\" href=\"https:\/\/apps.ad.uwm.edu\/secure\/declaration\/major\/prod\/index.php?departmentFilter=philosophy\" rel=\"\">Declare Your Minor<\/a>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading size-h3\">3. Advising for Certificates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>After submitting your request to declare a certificate, you are encouraged to contact the Philosophy Undergraduate Assistant, Natachia Attewell (<a href=\"mailto:attewell@uwm.edu\">attewell@uwm.edu<\/a>) with any questions you may have about program requirements.
