At the University of Wisconsin\u2013Milwaukee, the Off\u2011Campus Resource Center (OCRC) empowers students to succeed both academically and as engaged community members. Our mission is to support students who live off campus by fostering a sense of belonging and connection to both 51ÁÔÆæ and the Milwaukee community. Through OCRC\u2019s focus on Community, Learning, Equity, and Sustainability, we provide intentional resources and guidance that assist students as they navigate off-campus housing, build relationships, and develop life-long skills to thrive as community-minded individuals.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Educational Resources and Guidance<\/div>
We provide step\u2011by\u2011step support through tools like the Rental Process Guide and the Preferred Tenant Program\u2014an online, self\u2011paced course designed to help students understand leasing, budget wisely, and know their tenant rights.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Listings & Matchmaking<\/div>
Through our partnership with College Pads and other platforms, we help students find housing options, compatible roommates, and available subleases in neighborhoods surrounding 51ÁÔÆæ.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
Legal, Safety, and Specialized Support<\/div>
We connect students to vital resources\u2014from tenant rights and legal assistance to specialized help for commuters, international students, and those experiencing housing instability. Our goal is to ensure every student can live safely and sustainably off campus.<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n
