Marek, PhD, MBA, RN, FAAN who served as Director until 2010 followed by Rachel F. Schiffman, PhD, RN, FAAN. During this period, the SMSC achieved a number of outcomes, including a R01 to member scientist <a href=\"https:\/\/nursing.wisc.edu\/staff\/ryan-polly\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Polly Ryan, PhD, RN, CNS-BC,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/projectreporter.nih.gov\/project_info_description.cfm?aid=8417591&amp;icde=41223669&amp;ddparam=&amp;ddvalue=&amp;ddsub=&amp;cr=1&amp;csb=default&amp;cs=ASC&amp;pball=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(R01NR013913)<\/a> as well as multiple publications <sub>[1-6]<\/sub>, and presentations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The SMSC is committed to building on the relationships and infrastructure initiated with this prior funding, development, and sustained investments from the School of Nursing.
